Welcome!

BlossUm Buddies Adoption Agency  is a special art gallery where you can adopt the art as pets! These are generally known in the internet world as Adoptables, Breedables, Changeables and the like, but the idea is the same: adopt a piece of art, give it a name, and display it proudly on your own website or desktop as a pet, guardian, or companion.

Here at our agency you can take home a cute little critter called a BlossUm Buddy. These roly-poly, bumbling, stumbling creatures are part plant and part nature sprite. They start out as tiny stems (or stums as we like to say around here) and grow over time to become your special one-of-a-kind companion, either hand-drawn in high quality colored pencil or pre-designed from a PNG template with various options. All stages of growth are put onto a graphical certificate with a unique ID, your name, and the name of your new friend. You can even order a signed, gloss print of your BB to hang on your wall if you wish.

Feel free to glance about the place and if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact. We hope your visit is an enjoyable one.

Website Overhaul!

New website layout! I hope this is colorful enough for you now, all you taupe-haters you. XD
Alright, yes, I was bored of the office cubicle feel the last site seemed to exude, so I actually looked in a different category other than pets and nature for once and found a fun design. Who woulda thunk it? ^_^;;

So, I am still attempting to bring the shop back and would like to do so sometime next month, but we will just have to see how things go. As of right now, treatment is not working as well as planned, so my doctor is sending me to a specialist. *sigh*

Yet Another Wall...

I'm extremely sorry everyone. I know it's been more than long enough, but I must ask for everyone's patience for a while longer. I wanted so much to start the shop back up sometime this year, but I have hit yet another wall.

In the past six months several more medical issues popped up and we suspected something serious was indeed going on. I finally found a doctor who agreed with us and a blood test has confirmed that I have a very painful degenerative disease that is fairly quickly breaking down muscle and bone. During treatment, which lasted a few months, I experienced involuntary shakes, panic attacks, muscle spikes, unusual brain activity, and was unable to do much of anything except sleep. I tried drawing and working on the site, but I just didn't have the energy or the willpower. I am hoping things will begin to stabalize and in the meantime I am working on revamping the shop in between treatments. It's going slowly, but steadily.

You Found... What?!

Two friends and I pitched in for joint studio space down in Old Town Lansing! It helped my confidence for a little while and I was sketching a lot more. Set up a booth at a local art show for the first time in years and sold/traded some BB prints. Also, my brother fixed the broken hard drive and retrieved the backup of all BB files!!   And here, I thought Christmas was over! Started thinking about setting up shop again.

Meh.

This whole year was wrought with unexplained medical problem after unexplained medical problem and with so many questions without answers I had extreme depression to boot. I began wondering if I really was a hypochondriac like all the doctors seemed to think. :\

Wedding!

Mark and I had a cute little geeky wedding after all! Thank you mom and dad for pulling things off in only two months! It was darling! And so many things went wrong (mostly my fault!), it was utterly hilarious! That's a good thing, though, cause I don't think we'll ever forget that day! XD

Married!

Mark and I were married on paper at the courthouse! We were saving for a down payment on a house and we really needed to get me under Mark's health insurance as soon as possible due to many medical issues arising out of no where, so we planned to have the actual ceremony the next year.

He Knew Algebra and German, but He Forgot Me.

My grandfather passed away from Alzheimers a week before my birthday. I was extremely close to him. Did not have a fun birthday.

Why Did the Shop Disappear?

Well, basically..

We were doing really good with the new template system, and then several staff went on hiatus for real life problems or broken computers and then my own computers broke. My main drive and the external drive with the backup shop files both crashed. All the templates, certificate images, banners, scans, and notes became inaccessible!

Sometime after that, I was forced to make the very hard decision of ending a long term decade-old friendship. This friend and I had joined PonyIsland together and we both became interested in adoptable art, but when I decided to make a shop, things drastically changed between us. And after two years of subtle manipulation and passive-aggressive remarks about how I ran my shop, I finally realized that she was not actually a friend anymore and hadn't been for quite a while and was only playing nice on occassion to get freebies and customs.

On top of that, I forgot to feed my ponies so they all died... which is negligible, because I can still look at them with the search fuction, but it sort of became the last straw, if you know what I mean?

With my friendship torn and shop files lost (and dead ponies), I had no more reason to be on PonyIsland and left everything without caring if anyone else cared and fell into a depressed funk.

I'm sorry...
